Job Description
We’re looking for a dynamic and personable individual to introduce and promote a new pet subscription service at veterinary practices. Your role will involve engaging with clients, training vet clinic staff, and ensuring seamless integration of the subscription products into their existing workflow. This is a client-facing position requiring excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to work independently across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilties
Face-to-Face Sales with Pet Owners
• Introduce veterinary clients to the new online retail store and subscription products.
• Collaborate closely with the vet reception team to inform and encourage pet owners to sign up for the subscription.
• Become an integral part of the vet reception team, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
Vet Staff Training
• Facilitate the setup and integration of the online shop and subscription products at each practice.
• Train veterinary staff on accessing and using marketing materials to promote the subscription on social media and through bulk mail.
• Work collaboratively with vet staff to develop customised strategies for effectively promoting the service to their clients.
Telesales & Clinic Visits
• Follow up with clients who require callbacks to discuss the subscription in more detail and answer any questions.
• Travel between veterinary clinics, spending varying amounts of time at each location depending on strategic needs.
• Ensure each clinic is equipped to independently continue the work you’ve started after your visit.
Requirements
• Personality Traits: Confident, hardworking, kind, diligent, self-aware, presentable, light-hearted, people-oriented, and a pet lover.
• Skills: Excellent communication, bilingual in English and Afrikaans, ability to engage with diverse audiences, and experience in sales or customer-facing roles.
• Transport: Transport is not provided - having your own vehicle is highly preferred to travel between clinics.
Compensation
• Basic salary: R10,000 – R15,000 per month.
• Plus Commission: Expected take-home pay of R25,000 per month.
